I just picked up the keys for my new place. No pics yet. No idea where the camera is. :/ Now that I have the place to myself and don’t have the super and her husband in there with me, I can look around more easily. It’s bigger than I remember which is awesome, of course. The bedroom is a little smaller than the one I have now, but the living room and full-sized kitchen more than make up for that. I actually have a grown up sized stove that’s brand new! Yay!
Moving day is Oct 7. I can’t wait!
Even though I am behind with packing, I planned on taking tonight off. Joints are a’ aching. I figured I’d do laundry and grocery shopping. I tried to go to the market but was denied. All my routes there were blocked. Accident? No idea. So I came home and packed up my laundry only to discover someone else using the washers. Typical, eh?
I think all signs are pointing to having some fries, a cup of yogurt, and a pudding cup (I have nothing else.) for dinner and watching NCIS. Maybe I can do some light packing as I veg…or you know…maybe not too. Tired over here. :P
But man oh my, I can’t wait to move! Gone will be seeing Crazy Pete ass up in the dumpster foraging for treasure (and scouring for recyclables—whoa be the person who misses one in their trash—I’m told it gets ugly). Gone will be the drug dealer/abuser neighbors and their raging fights, the cops breaking down their door at o’ dark thirty in the morning, and the husband (I believe) stealing my mail order prescriptions. Gone will be the doll-sized fridge that makes such loud alien noises, even Ruki is frightened.
I can go on and on. But I think my fries are done and you know, priorities and all. :P
