A return to writing

Packing tape spiderweb

Ut oh. Lolth‘s realm must be expanding. :/ Heh. This is creepy as all hell and very freaking cool too. It’s a giant spiderweb make out of packing tape. This installation, by design firm numen / for use, used 530 rolls of tape measuring 117,000 feet and weighing 100 pounds. Watch how it was done: (via Make & Fast Company)

Why Twilight is Popular

I saw this a few days ago and it made me laugh. I just watched it again and what do you know, I laughed again. Heh. I can’t help it. I love seeing Twilight mocked. It’s a thing. Epipheo Studios created this based off The Oatmeal’s “How Twilight Works.” Love the monotone voice! My favorite mocking video is still Buffy vs Edward though: Ooh, damn, now I have a stitch in my side from laughing. Hah.

New blog template up and running (so far) – woot!

I finally got the new template to load without throwing a temper tantrum. I’m crossing my fingers that it will keep working. If you see something explode over here, please let me know. :/ I opted for a layout that doesn’t make me focus on creating a logo or header. I’m no designer and any drawings I do are in pencil or charcoal. Neither of which has worked well for me with creating an image for the »

Ignore all the kablooey that’s happening over here

I’m in the middle of testing out new templates. So, this site will look wonky for a bit. Sometimes you may even click over here and just get an error message. The template I want to use seems to have the temperment of a toddler. Anyway, I should have things more functional shortly. Have a wonderful day!

Blocked Lane Bryant Commercial and the Victoria’s Secret Spoof

I missed all this when it came out, but damn, had no idea ABC and Fox were such baffoons on the advertising approval front. The yutzes. Though really, I know I shouldn’t be surprised. Lane Bryant was blocked from running their lingerie commercial during shows like “Dancing with the Stars.” Funny how Victoria’s Secret commercials are fine to run.
